UST Global has acquired Bengaluru-based SeviTech Systems, a fast-growing chip design services company and a leading application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design solutions firm.
SeviTech will be retained as an independent entity and positioned as an expert in the pre-silicon engineering services business. It will continue to operate as a subsidiary of UST Global.

According to a spokesman, the acquisition will bring together advanced technologies and market expertise of the two companies to deliver the best solutions to global semiconductor manufacturers.
It will reinforce UST Global’s strength and focus in India and elevates its position as a premium VLSI (very large-scale integration) solutions provider and market leader in pre-silicon engineering.
UST Global’s semiconductor business provides end-to-end engineering and technology services that support the entire silicon life-cycle for a spectrum of hardware engineering players and services.
They include original device and equipment manufacturers; integrated hardware vendors; ASIC (digital and full custom) design, verification and implementation; and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation along with embedded software development.
With added capabilities and teams from SeviTech, UST Global will be able to cater to the large volume of demand from global semiconductor manufacturers, the spokesman added.
VLSI CAPABILITIES
Gilroy Mathew, Global Head, Semiconductor Business, and Head of APAC, UST Global, said the business has seen inspiring growth over the years.

According to him, the acquisition not only reinforces the company's VLSI capabilities but also affirms its status as a company focused on high-growth opportunities in the silicon world.
Prabhu Bhairi, CEO & Co-Founder, SeviTech Systems, said the global presence of UST Global coupled with his company's strong ASIC engineering teams would help provide innovative solutions to customers worldwide.
