Samsung’s next flagship smartphone may boast of six cameras
NEW DELHI: Cameras are one of the deciding factors in a smartphone these days and the likes of Pixel 3, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Apple iPhones and others are already on top of their games. Samsung started taking camera seriously way back but few months ago it started stuffing more lenses in its Galaxy smartphones to catch up (or topple) others. It recently launched smartphones with four rear cameras and a fifth one placed at the front.
Now, the handset maker is not stopping yet and seems to be baking a six-lens camera smartphone somewhere in its labs, according to a case maker.
Olixar, one of the popular smartphone case makers has listed Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones’ cases on the mobilefun website. In the images showing the cases for the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S10+, one can clearly see the six-camera lens setup. This means four at the back and dual lenses at the front.
This means that the focus on ‘Selfie’ images might be more with the Samsung Galaxy S10+. It might not be the same with the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy S10, the cover cases of which are seen listed on the website with single front lens camera.
All three nonetheless are shown with ‘Infinity-O’ displays with a hole on the top-right corner. While the ‘Lite’ version is expected to feature a 5.8-inch display, the Galaxy S10 and the ‘Plus’ models may feature a 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch screen sizes.
Whatever might be the case, we are likely to see the final version of the smartphone at MWC 2018 conference in all likeliness.
Previous rumours have pointed out that one of the Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones could be the first to feature 12GB RAM. For now, Samsung’s most powerful smartphone, Note 9, comes with 6GB RAM. OnePlus is currently leading the game with its new-launched 10GB RAM sporting OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
